Linear Shift, Our Games "Blocking"
Hello! Thank you for giving the precious time of your day to reading our game design talk! Lets Go:
We build SetSetting: Everything Goes, a casual 2d anime fighting game, to be a more story-rich and approachable sort of a game.
For that cause, we added a new type of "blocking" to replace the standard. We believed that a regular "block" is inaccessible.
We've replaced the "block" with the ability to walk past your opponent.
Players in the range of one attack can get out of it by walking backward OR forward.
It can look like button mashing, but it requires thinking.
We are also thinking of accessibility.
We also added the ability to block by attacking before the opponent. But this mechanic is common in other games so we will not talk about it.

Hello! My engine doesn't currently allow me to export to mac. I am going to check for a fix as soon as possible.
